Day 1

It’s my first official day as a civilian again. I have to admit, I’m enjoying it. There’s definitely a sense of freedom again. I don’t have to make decisions that are affected by what the Navy will think. Getting a manicure? It can be bright green. That’s ok again. It’s a very nice feeling.
The hard part now is figuring out what I want to do. Well, actually, that’s not true. The hard part is figuring out how to start accomplishing what I want. I kind of just want someone else to take care of the details and tell me where to be and when. That was one nice thing about the Navy; all I had to do was show up. But I guess this is one of the challenges that I will have to deall with transitionion back to being a civilian. In the meantime, I’m going to the gym or the pool, hanging with Theresa, and cooking a lot, which is awesome. I love to cook. Anyways, it’s girls night, so I’m off to have Mexican food and watch cheesy movies. So far, loving this being a civilian thing. 🙂
